What Type of Upgrade is Your Organization Considering?
Upgrading from 10.7
Upgrading from Character Mode to Release R11i will introduce the greatest amount of change. In addition to new features and functionality, R11i also introduces new forms and reports technology, a new system architecture, and an entirely new user interface complete with drastically changed navigation.
Upgrading from 10.7SC
Upgrading from Smart Client to R11i is not as significant an impact to the user community as a Character Mode upgrade. While there will be new features and functionality and a new system architecture, the users will be accustomed to windows and mouse navigation.
Upgrading from 10.7NCA
In terms of 10.7 upgrades, this upgrade introduces the least amount of change. The only changes to the user community are new features and functionality as well as the look and feel of new forms. The underlying system architecture remains unchanged and the users will be accustomed to windows and mouse navigation.
Upgrading from 11.0.3
As with 10.7 NCA, there are new features and functionality available to the user community. The underlying system architecture remains unchanged and the users will be accustomed to windows and mouse navigation.
